Frequently asked questions
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your billing portal anytime. You keep Premium access until the end of your paid period — no cliffs.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Your data stays safe. The Premium features — bank sync, your debt payoff plan, and savings goals past the third — lock until you upgrade again. The calendar, your bills and your paychecks stay exactly as they are.
Is bank syncing secure?
We connect through Plaid, a bank-connection provider used by many finance apps. You sign in to your bank through Plaid, so we never see your bank password. The access token Plaid gives us is read-only and encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM).
Do you give financial advice?
No. The Budget Calendar is a planning tool, not a financial advisor. The heads-up messages are ordinary budgeting rules applied to your own numbers — informational only, and not financial, tax, or investment advice.
Is there a free trial for Premium?
Yes — 14 days free. Stripe takes your card details when you start the trial, and nothing is charged until day 15. Cancel before then and you pay nothing. The free plan needs no card at all.
