Terms of Service
These terms cover your account, your subscription, the bank connections you choose to make, and the limits of what a planning tool can promise.
Effective August 27, 2026 · Last updated August 27, 2026
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and Ali Softwares LLC, which operates The Budget Calendar at thebudgetcalendar.com. By creating an account, connecting a financial institution, or using any part of the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use The Budget Calendar. The service is offered in the United States and is not directed to children under 13.
What the service is, and what it is not
The Budget Calendar is a budgeting and planning tool. It places your planned bills and expected paychecks on a calendar, imports transactions from financial institutions you choose to connect, and shows figures such as projected balances, spending totals, and debt payoff estimates.
Every figure the service produces is an estimate for planning purposes. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a licensed professional. Coaching prompts, insights, and recommendations — including any generated with the help of automated or AI systems — are general suggestions, may be wrong, and must not be relied on as the sole basis for a financial decision.
The Budget Calendar is not a bank, is not a money transmitter, and never moves, holds, or has access to your money. It cannot pay a bill, move funds between accounts, or stop a transaction. Your bank and your other providers remain solely responsible for your actual balances and payments, and their records govern over anything shown here.
Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly at alitooson@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
If you invite another person into a shared household, you are responsible for that invitation. Members of a shared household can see and change the household's budget, bills, goals, debts, and imported transactions. Remove a member before you stop wanting them to see that information.
Connecting a financial institution
Bank connections are provided through Plaid Inc. When you connect an institution, you authorize The Budget Calendar to request and import account and transaction information from it on your behalf, and your use of that connection is also subject to Plaid's own terms and privacy policy.
Access is read-only. The service requests information about your accounts and transactions; it cannot initiate payments or transfers. You may disconnect an institution at any time in the app, which stops new information from being requested. Information already imported is handled under our Data Retention Policy.
Imported data can be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, or miscategorized, and an institution can change or interrupt access at any time without notice. Check anything that matters against your bank directly before acting on it.
Free and paid plans
The Budget Calendar offers a free plan and a paid Premium plan. Current prices and what each plan includes are shown on the pricing page. Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply.
Payments are processed by Stripe. The Budget Calendar does not receive or store your full card number. Your use of checkout is also subject to Stripe's terms.
Subscriptions, renewal, and cancellation
- Premium is billed in advance on the billing period you select — monthly or annual — and renews automatically at the then-current price until you cancel.
- If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing settings in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep Premium access until then.
- Payments already made are not refunded on a pro-rata basis when you cancel mid-period, except where a refund is required by law. If something has gone genuinely wrong, contact us — refund requests outside that are considered case by case and at our discretion.
- We may change prices or what a plan includes. Changes to the price of an existing subscription take effect at the next renewal, and we will give you notice beforehand so you can cancel if you do not want to continue.
- If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend or downgrade Premium access until payment succeeds.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the service unlawfully, or to store or transmit anything unlawful.
- Do not connect a financial account you are not authorized to access, or enter another person's information without their permission.
- Do not attempt to access another user's or household's data, probe or bypass authentication or rate limits, or interfere with the service's operation.
- Do not scrape, copy, resell, or redistribute the service or its content, or use automated systems to extract data from it, without our written permission.
- Do not reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable under applicable law.
Your content and our content
The budget, bill, goal, debt, and transaction information in your account remains yours. You grant The Budget Calendar the permission needed to host, process, display, and back up that information so the service can operate, and to use de-identified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably identify you to maintain and improve the service.
The service itself — its software, design, text, and marks, including the name The Budget Calendar — belongs to Ali Softwares LLC and its licensors, and nothing in these terms transfers ownership of it to you. You may use the service only as these terms allow.
Availability and changes to the service
The service is provided on an ongoing basis but is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free. Features may be added, changed, or removed, and maintenance, third-party outages, and interruptions can occur. We will make reasonable efforts to give notice of significant planned changes that materially reduce what a paid plan includes.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that imported information will be accurate, complete, or timely, or that projections, spending totals, or payoff estimates will match what actually happens.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither Ali Softwares LLC nor its owners, employees, or suppliers will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, lost data, overdraft or late fees, missed payments, or other financial loss arising from your use of or inability to use the service — even if we have been advised that such damages are possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that is the case, the exclusions and limitations above apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ali Softwares LLC and its owners and employees from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of the rights of another person — including connecting a financial account you were not authorized to access.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time and may request deletion of your information as described in our Data Retention Policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, creates risk or legal exposure, or is used to abuse the service or its infrastructure. Where the circumstances reasonably allow it, we will give notice first.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — continue to apply after your account ends.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version. If a change is material, we will provide notice through the service or another appropriate channel before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the service and cancel any paid plan.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Ali Softwares LLC agree that the state and federal courts located in Georgia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or the service, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection law of the place where you live.
Other terms
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Security Policy, and Data Retention Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Ali Softwares LLC regarding the service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
For questions about these terms, contact Ali Tooson, CEO, at alitooson@gmail.com.
