Use The Budget Calendar in Claude
Connect your calendar to Claude and ask about your bills, paydays, debts and savings goals in plain language. The connection is read-only: Claude can look, never change anything.
What you need
- A Budget Calendar account with a budget set up.
- A Claude account. Adding a connector works on the web, desktop and mobile apps.
How to connect
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
- Name it “Budget Calendar” and paste this address:
https://www.thebudgetcalendar.com/mcp - Click Add, then Connect. Sign in to The Budget Calendar and choose Allow.
- Start a chat and ask a question. Claude will show that it used the Budget Calendar connector.
What Claude can see
- Month overview. Paychecks and dates, total income, planned bills, amount spent, and the buffer carried into a month.
- Bills. Each bill for a month: category, planned and spent amounts, due dates, and which paycheck pays it.
- Debts. Your unpaid debts: balance, interest rate, minimum payment, due day and status.
- Savings goals. Your unfinished goals: target, amount saved so far, and target date.
Claude only sees your own household. It never receives your password, bank login details or connected-bank access tokens.
Things to ask
- What bills do I have this month, and when are they due?
- How much have I spent so far compared with what I planned?
- Which debt has the highest interest rate?
- How close am I to my savings goals?
Privacy and disconnecting
You can disconnect at any time in Claude under Settings, then Connectors, which stops access. Closing your Budget Calendar account also ends it. Read how we handle your information in our Privacy Policy.
Troubleshooting and support
- Paste the address exactly as shown, with no trailing comma or spaces.
